Single releases in recent years have seen the duo step away from their ethereal initial style into a more club- and beat-focused sound. hajimari, with its combination of elements of ambient house and minimal techno with thick reverb and loopingly repeated vocals, stands as something of a midway point between Tamanaramen’s previous ambience and a future for the project that is even heavier and more direct.
